The Plateau Youth Council (PYC) Northern Zone has appointed Senator Pam Dachwungyang Mwadkwon and Mr. John Gamasaura Katura as Patrons.
Senator Mwadkwon represents Plateau North Senatorial District in Nigeria’s 10th Senate, while Katura is a renowned philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer of JOKATU Property Development Limited, Abuja.
The PYC Northern Zone disclosed that the appointments followed extensive deliberations and consultations among the council’s leadership and stakeholders.
According to the PYC Northern Zone Coordinator, Comrade Samson Chiroma, the decision to appoint Mwadkwon and Katura was reached during a recent meeting.
“On the 17th April, 2025, at Azi Nyako Youth Center Dadin Kowa, during the PYC Northern Zone official meeting at the instance of all state Executive representative, the six LGA Executive, all the Central Working Committee (CWC) members of the Zone and veterans, collectively agreed the appointment of Senator Pam Dachwungyang Mwadkwon and Mr. John Gamasaura Katura as our Patrons with immediate effect,” Chiroma noted.
Explaining the rationale behind their appointment, Chiroma said the two were selected based on their impressive track records.
“We consider them worthy of this appointment considering their immense contributions for the growth and development of youths not only in Plateau North but across the state and beyond.
“We cherish their doggedness, resilience, and unwavering commitment and dedication for the emancipation of humanity.
“While we congratulates them for the noble task before them, we prayed God Almighty will grant them grace to continue rendering humanitarian services.”
