A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Gyang Zi, has provided cash and food items to more than 400 widows and persons with disabilities across Plateau North Senatorial District.
The beneficiaries were drawn from Bassa, Barkin Ladi, Jos North, Jos South, Jos East and Riyom local government areas. They received items including rice, palm oil, groundnut oil, and cash support.
Speaking during the distribution exercise in Jos, the Director General of the Gyang Zi Campaign Organisation, Chief kado Awul said the outreach was aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society and easing economic hardship among them.
He said Gyang Zi has consistently shown commitment to supporting widows and persons with disabilities through humanitarian interventions.
“Gyang Zi believes that persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups deserve care and support. This gesture is meant to help them meet basic needs and support their families,” Awul said.
He disclosed that the beneficiaries comprised over 240 widows and about 150 persons with disabilities across the six local government areas in Plateau North Senatorial District.

Some beneficiaries described the intervention as timely, noting that it would help ease the impact of current economic challenges.
“This support came at a very difficult time for me and my family. I am grateful because it will help us put food on the table and reduce our hardship,” a widow, Mrs. Lydia Gyang, said.
Speaking on behalf of persons with disabilities, Mr Joseph Amakson commended Gyang Zi for the support and encouraged him to sustain the initiative.
Also speaking, Ngo Kaneng Tonji, who represented the widows, called for continued assistance to vulnerable persons, urging philanthropists and leaders not to abandon them after providing initial support.
Gyang Zi is among aspirants seeking the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Plateau North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
