Grand Pure Soya Oil backs Jos Food Festival 2026 as headline sponsor

Grand Pure Soya Oil (GPSO) has joined the Jos Food Festival 2026 as headline sponsor and official cooking oil partner, in a partnership organisers say will support Plateau’s food culture, creativity and hospitality industry.

The announcement comes ahead of the three-day festival scheduled for December 18 to 20 at Nirvana Park and Gardens, Jos, under the theme, “This Is Plateau”.

The partnership will see the brand participate in selected festival activities, including vendor engagements, food activations and pre-festival events.

Speaking on the partnership, Nanret Henry, Director of Guest Experience and Commercial Operations, said the collaboration aligned with the festival’s vision of using food to promote community, storytelling, enterprise and cultural pride.

“Jos Food Festival has always been about more than food. Our people, culture, creativity and the stories we tell through what we serve,” the organisers quoted the festival representative as saying.

The organisers described the sponsorship as support for Plateau’s food culture and the hospitality ecosystem they are seeking to develop through the festival.

The 2026 edition is expected to bring together food vendors, chefs, creatives, small businesses, tourism stakeholders and visitors for activities showcasing Plateau’s culinary identity.

The announcement also highlighted the brand’s involvement in DRESS CODE: PLATEAU, a pre-festival fashion and cultural event scheduled for October 24.

Grand Pure Soya Oil is sponsoring the ₦500,000 Best Dressed Star Prize at the event, which will feature fashion and cultural expression. The sponsorship extends the brand’s involvement beyond food-related activities to a creative event associated with the wider festival programme.

The December festival will also feature The Season, a 72-hour culinary project led by Chef Elvis Katlong, with a proposed attempt to prepare and serve 3,000 Nigerian-style shawarmas.

The organisers said the festival would provide a platform for food, culture, entertainment and community participation while promoting Jos as a destination for hospitality experiences.
