Jos North PDP Supporters Applaud Mutfwang’s Development Strides, Back AB Galla’s Contract Award

Several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jos North have commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his commitment to development and peacebuilding across Plateau State.

The governor’s decision to award a key construction contract to Alhaji Auwal AB Galla, a local PDP stalwart and grassroots politician, has drawn praise from political stakeholders and community leaders in the area.

Salisu Abdulahi, a PDP stalwart in Jos North, described the governor’s leadership as both responsive and inclusive.

“We’re very impressed with Governor Mutfwang’s efforts. He’s working tirelessly to bring peace and development to the state

“We commend him for his commitment and extend our condolences to those who lost loved ones in Bokkos and Maingo.”Abdulahi said

Abdulahi welcomed the recent contract awarded to AB Galla Construction, calling it a recognition of competence within the party’s ranks.

“We’re happy to see one of our own being given a chance to contribute. Alhaji Auwal AB Galla is a ‘talk and do’ person who understands the needs of our community. His involvement means more people will benefit directly from this administration’s projects,” he added.

He expressed confidence in AB Galla Construction’s capacity to deliver quality infrastructure, especially within Hausa-dominated areas.

“As a member of our community, Alhaji Galla knows the right people to work with. His familiarity with the terrain and the people gives him a unique edge. We’re pleading with the governor to extend his contract to other parts of Jos North that are still underdeveloped.”

Also lending his voice, Adam Lawal, Senior Special Assistant to the Jos North Local Government Chairman, praised Governor Mutfwang’s performance and practical approach to governance.

“By the special grace of God, Governor Mutfwang has delivered. He’s not one to just talk—he works. We at Jos North are proud to have supported him,” Lawal said.

He described AB Galla as a “bulldozer in politics and empowerment,” noting his contributions to youth and community development.

“Alhaji Auwal AB Galla is competent and trusted. His company has handled major projects and delivered. We believe he’s the right person to spearhead more road and drainage development in underserved Hausa communities,” Lawal added.

He further urged the governor to collaborate with ward leaders to ensure fair distribution of projects across Jos North.

Women leaders in the area have also weighed in, calling for more attention to female empowerment alongside infrastructure development.

Salma Ismail, the PDP Women Leader in Ibrahim Katsina Ward, said while the administration’s strides in road and drainage development are commendable, women in Jos North feel left behind.

“We’re concerned that many women in Jos North have been neglected despite their massive turnout during the elections,” she said. “We need empowerment programs tailored for women to give them a chance to thrive.”

She welcomed the appointment of AB Galla’s company but urged the governor to ensure its services reach more Hausa communities in need.

On recent attacks in Maingo and Bokkos, Ismail added: “We strongly condemn the attacks. We urge Governor Mutfwang to continue working towards peace and also reach out to affected women with support and relief.”

She emphasized the need for targeted development programs that prioritize the unique needs of women across Jos North.
