The Director General of the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), Engineer Dominic Datong Gwaman, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Gwaman’s resignation was contained in a letter dated January 10, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Namu Ward, Quanpan Local Government Area of Plateau State. He announced his decision to leave the party with immediate effect.
“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with immediate effect,” the letter read.
In the letter, the PICTDA Director General expressed appreciation to the party for the opportunity to serve under its platform, describing his time in public service as professionally fulfilling.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Party for the opportunity granted to me to serve Government under its platform. The exposure, experience, and responsibility entrusted to me during my engagement were professionally fulfilling and contributed significantly to my growth in public service,” he stated.
Gwaman also thanked party members for their support and cooperation during his period of membership and wished the PDP success in the future.

Following his resignation, he was received by officials of the APC Ward Executive Committee in Namu Ward, where he completed his registration as a member of the party.
Speaking after his registration, Gwaman pledged to support the ideals of the APC and contribute to its activities at the grassroots level.
The development adds to recent changes in party affiliations within Plateau State as political actors continue to realign.
