TMG Approves N1bn Campaign Support Fund for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid

The Tinubu Mega Group (TMG) has approved a N1 billion campaign support fund for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, as part of resolutions reached at its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The meeting, which brought together members of the National Executive Council, state coordinators from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, zonal leaders from the six geopolitical zones, and representatives of the group’s diaspora chapters, also endorsed a nationwide and international mobilisation framework aimed at strengthening support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the Council commended President Tinubu’s administration for what it described as bold economic reforms and strategic initiatives geared towards repositioning the Nigerian economy, improving infrastructure, attracting investment and advancing national development.

A major highlight of the meeting was the unanimous approval of a N1 billion contribution towards President Tinubu’s re-election campaign and nationwide mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the Council, the decision reflects the confidence of the organisation and its members in the leadership and achievements of the President.

The group disclosed that consultations and fundraising activities have already commenced across its structures in the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, the six geopolitical zones and its diaspora chapters in the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Europe.

TMG said contributions from members, stakeholders, supporters and partner organisations had begun, expressing confidence that the N1 billion target would be realised well before the commencement of the official campaign season.

As part of efforts to deepen engagement with Nigerians at home and abroad, the Council also approved the commencement of Tinubu Town Hall Meetings across the country and in key international locations, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe and Asia.

The initiative, according to the organisation, is designed to provide a platform for engagement with citizens, showcase the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda and encourage broader participation in national development.

The Council expressed appreciation to supporters and stakeholders who have continued to provide financial and logistical support to the organisation. It particularly acknowledged members who have donated office accommodation in more than 20 states of the federation, as well as those who have voluntarily provided vehicles and other resources to support its activities.

TMG further appealed to patriotic Nigerians, business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and development partners to support its programmes through financial contributions, office infrastructure, mobility assets and sponsorship of activities aimed at promoting its objectives.

The NEC meeting also confirmed that the organisation’s highest honour, the Grand Commander of the Tinubu Mega Group (GCTMG), would be formally conferred on Dr. Azonabor Osade Eronmose on June 26, 2026.

The Council said the award is in recognition of Dr. Eronmose’s contributions to humanity, philanthropy and national development.

The organisation expressed confidence that the resolutions reached at the Port Harcourt meeting would strengthen its structures across Nigeria and the diaspora while advancing its vision of promoting national unity, continuity and sustainable development.
