
The Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba CRF, has called on the Berom Nation to prioritize unity and faith in order to achieve progress and development in the Land.
Speaking at the 2024 Nzem Berom Riyom/Aboro event held at Riyom Local Government Headquarters on April 25, 2024, the Paramount Ruler emphasized the importance of unity in the growth of the Berom Nation, Plateau State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He also highlighted the significance of trust in God amidst challenges, especially the insecurity facing the Berom Nation.
In his welcoming remarks, the District Head of Riyom, His Royal Highness Da Samuel Jok, expressed delight at the historic occasion and commended the citizens for their commitment to building a better Berom Nation.

Various dignitaries including Deputy Governor of Plateau State Ngo Josephine Piyo represented by Senator Pam Mwadkon, former Senate Minority Leader, Da Dachollom Jambol, and Hon. Sati Shuwa, among others, praised the initiative of celebrating Nzem Berom and encouraged citizens to work together for the betterment of the Berom Nation.

Special prayer for peace and bumper harvest was made by Rev. John Nash even as the Gbong Gwom Jos poured royal blessings on the People and Berom Land to prosper.
The celebration featured cultural dance groups performing, as well as the official launching of a tree planting campaign and a medical outreach, paying of royal homage by all Districts to the Gbong Gwom Jos and Acha Pounding Competition.
