As Christians in Plateau State join others across the world to celebrate Easter, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JOKATU Property Development Limited, Mr. John Gamasaura Katura, has called for prayers for the state and the country, particularly in light of the recent resurgence of violent attacks on communities.
In his Easter message, Katura extended heartfelt wishes to the people of Plateau State, describing Easter as “a sacred season that reminds us of the power of love, the beauty of sacrifice, and the eternal hope we have in renewal and resurrection.”
He said the triumph of Christ over death should inspire Nigerians to rise above their challenges with faith, unity, and resilience.
“Just as Christ triumphed over death, may we too rise above every challenge with faith, unity, and resilience,” he said.
The real estate developer urged Christians to use the season to intercede for the nation’s leaders and pray for peace and security, especially for Plateau State, which he said had witnessed renewed violence in recent times.
“I therefore encourage all Christians to take advantage of this moment to pray for our leaders and our country for peace and security, particularly for Plateau State, which has witnessed a resurgence of violent attacks on communities”
Katura also called on citizens to embrace the virtues of peace, forgiveness, and love, stressing that Easter should inspire unity among the people.
“Let this Easter rekindle in us the spirit of brotherhood, peace, and forgiveness. Let our homes be filled with laughter, our hearts with gratitude, and our community with harmony,” he added.
While wishing the people a joyful celebration, he prayed that the season would bring divine blessings upon the land and guide citizens toward a future of lasting peace and prosperity.
