Concerned PDP Stakeholders Rebuff Fani-Kayode’s Attack on Governor Mutfwang

The Concerned PDP Stakeholders in Plateau State have strongly condemned recent remarks by former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, describing them as baseless and inflammatory.

In a statement signed by their chairman, Da James Stephen Pam, the group dismissed Fani-Kayode’s criticism of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s meeting with the Israeli Ambassador, saying the attack was “scathing and unfounded.”

According to the group, Governor Mutfwang’s engagement with the Israeli envoy was part of a strategic effort to tap into Israel’s globally renowned expertise in agriculture with the aim of boosting Plateau State’s food security and economic development.

Israel is globally recognized for its innovative agricultural practices, and this partnership aims to enhance food security and economic growth in the state,” the statement noted.

The stakeholders also took exception to Fani-Kayode’s characterization of Israel, which they described as derogatory and divisive.

FFK’s rhetoric serves no purpose other than to sow discord and undermine efforts toward progress. We condemn his attempt to politicize and vilify a constructive diplomatic engagement,” the group said.

They further warned that such statements could incite unnecessary tension and conflict.

Fani-Kayode should desist from such reckless and irresponsible behavior, which could have far-reaching consequences for peace and stability in Plateau State and beyond.

His inciteful comments undermine national security and the hard-earned efforts of Mr. President, Governor Mutfwang, and security agencies in sustaining peace,” the stakeholders declared.

Reaffirming their support for the governor, the group said they “stand in solidarity with Governor Mutfwang and affirm the legitimacy of his efforts to develop Plateau State through strategic international partnerships.”

They called on Nigerians to reject what they described as a “divisive narrative” and support initiatives that promote unity, development, and progress in Plateau and the country .
