Lalu Distributes 13 Trucks of Fertilizers to Support Mangu/Bokkos Farmers

Hon. Ishaya David Lalu, the representative for Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, has officially launched the distribution of 13 trucks of free fertilizers to his constituents at the MYM Secretariat in Mangu.

During the event, Hon. Lalu emphasized the vital role of agriculture in the region, emphasizing that many of his constituents rely on farming for their livelihoods. He assured the community that the distribution process would be fair and extensive.

“I feel it is my duty to represent not only the rich but, most especially, the poor people. Since their major activities are in agriculture, fertilizer is significant and dear to their hearts. My target, by the grace of God, is that 90% of the populace of Mangu/Bokkos will receive fertilizer from Hon. Lalu before the end of my tenure,” he stated.

The event also highlighted a forthcoming project in Panyam, where Hon. Lalu announced plans to inaugurate a motorized borehole. “Water is essential for life and crucial for our constituency,We will drill boreholes across all job zones in Mangu and Bokkos and motorize them with solar power to alleviate issues related to power generation.” He emphasized.

As a member of the Renewable Energy Committee in the House of Representatives, Lalu highlighted the environmental and economic advantages of solar-powered boreholes. “By using solar power, we promote clean emissions and benefit from carbon credits, aligning with global renewable energy standards,” he added.

Reflecting on his contributions over the past four years, Lalu noted several key achievements, including the initiation of a 20-kilometer road construction project costing over 20 billion Naira, the installation of solar street lights aimed at combating insecurity, the allocation of 700 million Naira for completing the Mangu Regional Dam, sponsoring two bills for federal institutions in the constituency, and attracting 1.5 billion Naira to upgrade Government Science Secondary School Mangu to a Federal Government Technical College.

Beneficiaries of the fertilizer distribution expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the initiative. Comrade James Satnon Nanyit remarked, “Hon.Lalu has truly represented us well by recognizing and addressing the plight of the common people. I strongly believe that I will use this fertilizer judiciously to ensure that food is put on my table and for the people around me.”

Similarly, Salome Danjuma shared her appreciation, stating, “I am truly grateful because this fertilizer will help me significantly, especially during these difficult times when everything, including fertilizer, is so expensive in the market. I thank God and say, God bless him for thinking about the poor.”
