The Tinubu Mega Group (TMG) has announced plans for a nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of its May 17, 2026 National Convention scheduled to hold in Abuja.
In a statement issued in Abuja and signed by Kennedy Tabuko, the group said it had rolled out a multi-layered strategy aimed at rallying support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the planned convention as a major political gathering.
According to the group, the mobilisation will involve a coalition of over 1,500 organisations, including civil society groups, professional bodies, labour unions, artisan networks and grassroots movements across the country.
TMG said the build-up to the convention would feature coordinated media engagements, including newspaper publications, television appearances and radio programmes across the geopolitical zones. The group added that it would also deploy digital platforms, influencers and content creators to drive online conversations and public participation.
Beyond media outreach, the coalition disclosed plans for simultaneous street-level activities nationwide, including road walks, market activations and community rallies aimed at increasing visibility ahead of the event.
The group further revealed that it would release milestone figures from an ongoing endorsement campaign, culminating in the planned presentation of 20 million signatures at the convention.
TMG stated that the May 17 gathering would serve as a platform for a broad coalition of supporters to publicly endorse the president, noting that all activities would be conducted peacefully and in line with democratic principles.
“With preparations now in full throttle, the convention is expected to draw participants from across the country,” the statement added.
