A politician and philanthropist, Abubakar Sadeeq Plaza, on Saturday visited the Anguwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area to condole with families who lost loved ones in the March 29 attack.
The attack, which left several persons dead and many others injured, sparked widespread outrage, with varying casualty figures reported.
Plaza also visited families of four traders in Gangare who were killed while travelling from Jos to Pankshin Local Government Area for business some months ago.
During the visit, he condemned the incidents and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families, saying God would expose those behind the “brutal and senseless killings.” He urged residents to remain vigilant, provide useful information to security agencies and intensify prayers for lasting peace in the state.
Plaza also commended Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, for what he described as a swift response to the Anguwan Rukuba attack, including the deployment of security personnel and support to affected communities.
“At a time when our communities need reassurance, the governor has shown that proactive leadership and inclusive governance are vital tools for lasting peace,” he said.
He further called on stakeholders to support ongoing reconciliation and dialogue efforts aimed at promoting unity and peaceful coexistence across the state.
Traditional rulers, community leaders and youth leaders in the area commended Plaza for the visit and his humanitarian interventions, urging continued collaboration among residents and authorities to sustain peace.
