Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has commended Mr. Nanzin Wuyep, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Patriot Suites, for his contribution to the growth of the state’s tourism and hospitality industry.
The governor gave the commendation on Saturday during the inauguration of Grand Patriots Luxury Suites Ltd., a new addition to the company’s expanding hospitality portfolio, in Jos.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Samuel Jatau, Mutfwang highlighted the strategic importance of the hospitality sector to economic development and youth empowerment.
“I commend the Chief Executive Officer and his team for their vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence in every aspect of this venture,” he said. “Your investment in our state is a testament to the immense potential Plateau holds as a destination for both private organisations and individuals.”
He further noted that supporting local enterprises such as Grand Patriots Suites would contribute not only to the success of such businesses but also to the broader economic prosperity of the state, which is in need of investments and development initiatives.
The governor also encouraged residents to emulate Mr. Wuyep’s entrepreneurial spirit by engaging in ventures that reflect positively on the state.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Tourism and Hospitality, Mr. Cornelius Doeyok, described the new facility as a significant boost to the state’s tourism offerings, noting that it would showcase Plateau’s natural beauty and attract visitors.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mrs. Joyce Ramnap, called on the public to align with the governor’s vision of enhancing tourism by initiating and supporting productive business ventures across the state.
In his remarks, Mr. Wuyep expressed gratitude to the Plateau State Government for the support extended to him and other entrepreneurs.
“I want to extend my profound gratitude to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for providing an enabling environment for investors to thrive in Plateau,” he said. “The vision behind this business is grounded in integrity and patriotism, aimed at fostering a sense of luxury while promoting our beloved state.”
He urged stakeholders to continue promoting Plateau’s image, emphasizing that every positive contribution, no matter how small, could lead to meaningful progress.
“Plateau’s breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage make it a natural tourist destination. Let’s join hands to promote this great state,” he added.
