
Governor Caleb Mutfwang has declared open the 10th Jos National Trade Fair, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth in Plateau State.
Represented by Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo at the Jos Polo Field, Mutfwang underscored the state government’s efforts to create an enabling business environment through innovation, technology, and support for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Piyo outlined initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s economy, including the Ease of Doing Business Committee to reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, the SME Council to promote small business development, and the revitalization of the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency to enhance financial access for entrepreneurs.

She also emphasized ongoing infrastructure projects and security measures designed to bolster investor confidence.
Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Gabriel Dewan, said the return of the trade fair reflected the state’s improved security and stability. President of the Plateau Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture.

Elder Bulus Dareng, called for the establishment of a permanent trade fair complex, while CEO of Anista Marketing, Bolcit Barshep Amakiri, described the event as a platform for business growth and strategic partnerships.
The fair, running from March 11 to 26, features business exhibitions, investor forums, networking opportunities, and cultural showcases, with thousands of participants expected.
Organizers anticipate that the event will stimulate economic activity and attract investment to the state.
