The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Hon. Pirfa Jingfa Tyem, has approved the appointment of Kum Precious Yakubu as the Chief Press Secretary to the council.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Danjuma Gwamzhi, the appointment was described as both fitting and timely, considering Mr. Kum’s wealth of experience and years of service in the communication industry.
Kum Precious Yakubu, a seasoned news editor, has served with Silverbird Communications and the Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC), Jos, where he worked as a news editor, producer, and reporter delivering reports on governance, development, and security.
He has also provided consultancy services on media and communication projects for government agencies and humanitarian partners.
Hon. Tyem, while congratulating Mr. Kum on his appointment, urged him to bring his professionalism and broad media experience to bear in promoting the image of the council and strengthening its engagement with the public.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
