The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area, Hon. Pirfa Tyem, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his overwhelming victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election conducted across Plateau State.
Tyem described the outcome of the exercise as a clear demonstration of the confidence and loyalty APC members and supporters have in President Tinubu’s leadership and Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the chairman, Langtang North recorded a massive turnout and overwhelming support for the President, who secured 13,628 votes in the local government area against 147 votes scored by his challenger, Mr. Stanley Osifo.
He noted that the result reflected the unity and commitment of party faithful in the council area, stressing that the people remain fully aligned with the vision and direction of the APC-led administration at the national level.
Tyem also congratulated Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, who served as the returning officer for the APC presidential primary election in the state and officially declared Tinubu winner after polling 242,023 votes across the 17 local government areas, while Osifo secured 303 votes.
The chairman commended party stakeholders, delegates, electoral officials, and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and orderly exercise across the state.
